Cookies!!!

This is the first year we have made a big deal out of Christmas cookies and Annabelle was all for it! There was a lot of this going on:


Batch number Two:
Time to decorate batch number one: This did not turn out to be the huge mess I envisioned since Annabelle hates having messy hands. We had to stop every few minutes to wipe down the spoons and hands.:) Lucky me!

Yesterday 75 degrees, today 16.

So yesterday afternoon we played coat free outside enjoying the warm blanket the sun provided.



An hour later the breeze turned into an angry snowman's breath daring us to remain outside. I for one am scared of angry snowmen so we went inside. The next day... 16 freakin' degrees. Annabelle has been somewhat patiently waiting for snow to eat so after a discussion about what color of snow was ok to eat she donned her "winter clothes" and ventured outside to partake. I am not sure how rigidly she stuck to the white ice only rule but will try not to ruminate to much about it.

Uhhh. Happy thanksgiving??

We tested out the tropicana theory which worked well after that orange had been in AB's possession for more than a day.:)

Name that ladybug

We captured a ladybug for a day since AB is into those right now. I told her to name it and she decided on Ariga. At first when she came up with names they were from fellow classmates. Now she makes them up. we also have a rice sock that she declared was a dog named Sharie (think marie but with the sh).

I'm getting married.

A few weeks ago we were at a good friend's wedding. Th following week AB watched the Little mermaid several day sin a row. She began dressing up in this getup proclaiming "I'm getting married" I asked her who she was marrying and she just made some comment that she had a pretty dress. I told her to get married she had to pick a boy. She looked at me and scowled. I asked her if she was still getting married and she said no.:) This made her daddy very happy since this whole discussion was putting a damper on his mood. Later I asked her is she had picked someone to marry and she said. "I marry Daddy." Good answer kid.

Happy B-day Pt 2

We had a balloon party with a few of AB"s friends. Good rowdy fun.:)

I turned my back for 20 seconds and AB felt the need to make sure the frosting would be safe for all the other kids. She is a good friend.

New 'Do

Baby's first field trip

Annabelle had her first field trip at school this week. A neighboring church has a pumpkin patch so her class walked over and each picked out his/her own pumpkin and got their face painted. Annabelle was very proud of her punkin and we painted it the next day.

Cuz it's my birfday

I would say that Ab is counting the days until her birthday but that would be inaccurate. She knows it's coming up so she says everyday "it's my birfday" to anyone that will pay attention. We are also potty training, apparently both of us as she congratulates me for using the potty and offers me treats. Today while I was burning my female fat zones with Denise, she announced that she pooped to which I inquired if it was in the potty. She said no it was in her (d)iaper. I asked her if she remembered how many treats she would receive if she pooped in the potty to which she jubiantley shouted "TREE!" I said "Then why didn't you poop in the potty to get three treats?" She replied "It's my birfday".

She asked for this. Literally. She also sat in there for fifteen minutes happily.

Today's masterpieces

Today's pieces are both titled "Bunny". I went with a concrete approach while AB went in a more abstract direction as will most of our future endeavors.

Gatesway balloon fest

We went to the Gatesway Balloon festival in Claremore a while back. It was a good time getting to see things up close. My Favorite balloon was the bee.




The stroller is in fact still being useful.:)
